Earth Tank (Digital Eco-sphere)
”Earth Tank” is an educational interactive digital eco-sphere that displays a miniature slice of Earth in a dish to help us think about our world at a smaller scale. This approach makes it easier for everyone, especially children, to learn and understand complex ecological concepts.
When you first open this interactive digital eco-sphere, you'll see untouched green land in the center, surrounded by various icons at the bottom of the screen. Each icon represents a specific species that you can select and drag onto the land. Once released, the icon transforms into the actual creature, which then interacts with the environment and other creatures. As you build your ecosystem, check the ecological balance percentage displayed in the bottom-right corner. Note that species cannot be removed once placed on the land.
Each species has unique characteristics that affect the ecological balance. For example, when there are too many cattle in one area, the gases they produce raise the temperature and warm the climate. By experimenting with this interactive eco-sphere, players discover the complex relationships between different species.
You will discover a species with great destructive power but poor survival ability in a damaged environment. When this species appears on the land, it seriously harms the ecological system, causing damage that is often irreversible. Eventually, this species will bring about its own extinction. In contrast, most other species can adapt and survive, and they gradually restore harmony to the ecosystem.
