Mr. Joshua Chao uses the title “JC&D” as the collective name of all of his design works as well as his design studio. The logogram of ampersand “&” in the title represents the idea of “conjunction” between multiple design disciplines, which implies that he is a multi-disciplinary designer. In the URL of this website, the logogram of ampersand “&” is replaced by the letter “n”—instead of “et”—in order to maximally shorten the URL, which is based on the example of “rock & roll” is often written as “rock ’n’ roll”.

“From the balletic movement of sub-atomic particles to the waltzing collision of galaxies, the ingenuity of design is everywhere in our universe and it accomplishes everything. It’s my honor to do design along with such an enchanting knowledge full of wisdom and mercy.” — Mr. Joshua Chao
