ICBC H-CLUB™ iPhone App (Bank Service App on iOS)

 

This mobile application provides a great way to make appointment for high-class restaurant, hotel, villa, golf, yacht and private plane, as well as to purchase product or service of high-class gym, karaoke, nail salon, hospital, tailor store, lease car, bakery and flower store in China. All the businesses are exquisitely selected by H-CLUB™ of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), the highest-class service/product provider in China.

 

Originally the information architecture of this app was a total disaster, which leads to chaos of user interface and experiences, because of not only the sorry artwork but also the illogical hierarchy that makes no sense at all and confuses users.

 

Fortunately the H-CLUB™ have the whole UI/UX re-designed by my team before it’s too late. We start with re-constructing the information architecture, which helps us clarify and simplify all sections and functions the app requires. Then we re-think about several scenarios that users might encounter, such as “surgical searching by keywords”, “map-based survey with location service” and “pointless browsing”. Last but not least, the style of visual art is re-designed to fit the latest trend, which is consist of flat graphics, thin lines and font, and the “frosted glass” blur effect for background. These really provide a significant level of improvement in user interface and experience.

 

After tens of times of meetings and modifications, H-CLUB™ not only got the ideal app they dreamed, but also learned a lot about user interface and experiences design.
