In ancient times, people thought that the Earth was a plane, so they created flat-board games.

Now, we all know that the Earth is in fact an orb, so why don’t we play games on a globe?

Unlike other chess variants, “Dot” does not mean to change a lot of things.

Instead, the only purpose of it is to play the same old game in an infinite manner.

Both 8 x 8 = 64 squares.

With two circular poles on the Dot for topological integrity.

Why is it called “Dot”?

The origin of the name “Dot” is from a photograph of planet Earth “Pale Blue Dot” taken in 1990

by the Voyager 1 spaceprobe from a record distance of about 3.7 billion miles from Earth.
