Library of Study Hard (Portfolio Set)

As a student of communications design, I have the responsibility to make a final report to people about the result of my four-year study in the university. Since all my design projects start with very serious topics and along with strong cultural research, I found myself cannot help to study very hard in a library. That indeed makes me a good designer.

After all these days studied in the library, I thought it’s time to create my own one. To begin with, I have to write different fields of books. And then, put tags on those books for their classification. Fortunately I have a lot of things to write, because I have plenty of amazing design works and the stories behind to tell.

Thanks to the book-writing idea that my internationally awarded design works—such as “Dot” (red-dot design award Germany 2010 winner), “Bud” (selected and exhibited by iF design award Germany in 2011) and “Mad Evolution” (3rd Place in interactive - physical, ACM SIGGRAPH SpaceTime USA in 2009)—somehow gave me, I decided to introduce my works in three totally different perspectives: Philosophy (black cover), aesthetic (white cover) and science (blue cover).

In addition, I need to build my own library book shelf for these books to be collected and exhibited. Luckily I am not only a good writer but also a craftsman with passion of crafting beautiful things, no matter how difficult they are (see “Chess on the Dot” and “Globe Chess”). This portfolio set eventually earned the honor of “Best Portfolio of the Year” in the end of the semester.
