The Beautiful Chinese Vase (Interactive Installation)

“The Beautiful Chinese Vase” is an interactive installation with physical components and digital contents work together seamlessly. We worked our magic on combining modern technologies and Chinese classic elements, to present you the unique Chinese concept of “Chi-Hsiang” with a simple, elegant touch.

 

When the audiences wave their hands to the digital painting on the wall, the “Chi-Hsiang” animals will be disturbed and leave where they were perched. They will then approach the vase and rest there. Thus, a beautiful vase of “Chi-Hsiang” is completed. “Chi-Hsiang” is a very unique concept in the Chinese culture, the similar ideas of it are luck, good fortune or wonders.

 

We hope to deliver you its essentiality while enjoying the satisfying visual embracement. By using the modern technologies of motion sensors, webcams and image mapping projection, the boundary of physical instruments and digital animation and information suddenly vanishes just like it never exists. Forget about the geeky technological gismos and engineering cliché, just have fun with this easy-to-enjoy interactive installation!
