We choose the silhouette-style to make these images because it is visually powerful and universally elegant, just like the animation in the end of the animated film “The Incredibles” from Pixar.
It also provides a very important clue of this game to players, which is the evil aliens cannot be harmed by physical-based or energy-based attack, but surprisingly they can be defeated by ordinary light—at least ordinary to human—from a flashlight. This is very similar to the lethal effect of gamma radiation to human, and such radiation is in fact just different wavelength electromagnetic wave.
