Falling (Digital Photography)
This sequence of photographs is surrounding the topic of “alternative reality” which shows another possibility of how people can interact with the lines and arrows on the road. To the main character in the photographs, the lines and arrows on the road are physical and touchable objects—instead of two-dimensional signs—which are somehow fixed in the space and can be climbed, just like the three-dimensional physical objects.
In order to take such funny photos on the road, I choose to start to set the equipment up in the midnight, and retreat before the sun rises because the traffic flow reaches its minimum of a day in this period of time.
Because of the main character, Joshua Chao, in the photograph is a talented actor inborn, thus all photo-shooting works are perfectly completed in only one shot for every single photograph, without any kind of digital or physical post-production.
