Body Installation (Digital Poster)

 

This poster is an official announcement of the show called “Body Installation”, which was originally one of the assignments of the course “Design Foundation” in the first year in the department of communications design in my university. We hold an open-space show to let people see the result of this assignment in the end of the semester, because the works we have done are truly remarkable.

 

The colorful letters on the poster are all made by the digital collage of actual photos of body installations. By wearing the costume made of LYCRA fabric, not only face but the whole appearance of the actor or actress inside cannot be seen, therefore they cannot be recognized, but the expression of body gestures are stronger than ever in such circumstances.

 

In this unique situation that the audiences and the actors to actresses cannot see each other, every action and movement is enormously emphasized for both parties in the show. This makes the potential energies and talents of the actors and actresses release freely, and the dramatic tension of performance totally different from any other shows.
