Baa! (Tile-based Board Game)

Baa! is a strategic board game about territorial control through fencing. Players take turns placing their own fences on triangular or hexagonal tiles, depending on the version. When fences connect to form an enclosed area, the player who contributed the most fences becomes the owner and scores based on the number of sheep within the enclosure.

Three key rules govern the formation of enclosed areas. First, each enclosure must contain at least one sheep and one house; areas lacking either or both are invalid. Second, fences cannot be placed alongside trees. Third, fences cannot be placed inside an existing enclosed area.

When an enclosed area is formed, the player who contributed the most fences becomes the owner. If two or more players contributed equally to the most fences, they share ownership. The owner scores immediately based on the number of sheep within the enclosed area.

In the basic version, each sheep is worth one point, or two points if adjacent to a bush. In the advanced version, white sheep are worth three points, gray sheep are worth two points, and black sheep are worth one point. Adjacent bushes add one additional point to any sheep's value.
